But if you still haven’t gotten around to planning your family outing, we’ve curated a list of some exciting places where you can take your kids this weekend.
From taking part in eco-friendly activities, to both outdoor and indoor fun, here’s where to take the kids this April weekend!
Where To Take The Kids This Weekend: Try These 5 Spots
1. Explore nature at NParks

NParks is where to take the kids this weekend for some outdoor fun! Their new initiative “Families for Nature” includes activities where you can experience the beauty of nature. These exciting events are divided into four categories: Nature Adventurer, Wildlife Guardian, CIN Ambassador, and SGBioAtlas Contributor.
Participate in the activities with the whole family to receive puzzle pieces after completing each task. Collect all four pieces and form a map of Singapore’s rich biodiversity as you learn more about it.
2. Immerse yourself in the art of Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom

At Gardens by the Bay, you’re sure to find a place where to take the kids this weekend! Our pick for this list is the new Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom display at the Flower Dome. Here, world-renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly will feature a landscape of incredible glass sculptures.
You can also snap family photos in the new installations of Electric Yellow and Deep Coral Tower, White Tower, Erbium Reeds and Trumpet Flowers and Neodymium Reeds. The sculptures will be available to see from 23 April to 1 August. So make sure to check them out!
3. Let the kids play around at Playtopia

The newly reopened Playtopia is also where to take your kids this weekend. If you want to spend time with your little one, away from the blazing sun or pouring rain, you can enjoy Playtopia’s new additions.
This indoor playground located inside the National Library at Tampines is perfect for some safe indoor fun.
4. Celebrate Earth Day at Hard Rock Cafe

Only until 30 April, you can celebrate Earth Day with Hard Rock Cafe’s Ultimate Earth Day Bundle. You can try their Vegetarian Beyond Burger, and even get your hands on denim tote bag, 3-piece reusable straw set, and a packet of seeds.
About five percent of the proceeds from the bundles will also be donated to Singapore Environment Council for their Training and Education initiatives. Let your kids learn more about how they can help keep our planet clean and climate-resilient and enjoy delicious food, simultaneously.
5. Get active with the whole family

Another fun activity to indulge in is happening at Gardens by the Bay. It’s called Active Family Programme. Organised by the Health Promotion Board, it allows you to bond with your little one through physical activities. Parents with children 4 to 6-years can jumpstart their healthy lifestyle through this programme.
It’s also FREE for all participants! So if you’re wondering where to take the kids this weekend, make sure to sign up for this programme through the Healthy 365 mobile app.
We hope this has helped you choose where to take the kids this weekend. Remember to stay safe and enjoy the next two days with your whole family!
